Dato’ Tan began his career as a petrol station assistant in year 1982 and has progressively ventured into owning and running his own petrol station businesses since the 90s. Being in the industry for 40 years, he has vast experience in the petroleum business and is currently managing and operating about 20 petrol stations situated in Kuala Lumpur, the States of Selangor, Perak and Pahang.

He is currently the managing director of Melati Astana Sdn. Bhd. and Seng Lee Huat Petroleum Sdn. Bhd.

Dato’ Tan is the father of Ms.Tan Jyy Yeen and Mr.Tan Wye Chuan, the Executive Director of the Company.
